Description: St. Thomas Aquinas College offers 31 undergraduate degree programs and masters degree programs,including a Master of Science in Education,a Master of Science in Teaching,and a Post Graduate Certificate program in Education; and a Graduate Degree program in Business Administration (MBA),each with a variety of specializations. The College's 48-acre campus is on Route 340 in Sparkill,(Rockland County) New York. St. Thomas has expanded its campus to include 21 buildings,600 resident students on campus and 75 international students. St. Thomas offers a Bachelor of Arts,Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Science in Education. In addition,an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science degree is offered,the latter two at the United States Military Academy at West Point,approximately 25 miles to the north along the Hudson River. St. Thomas is host to the Master of Science in Social Work program offered by New York University's Shirley M. Ehrankrantz School of Social Work. The College's 2,100 full and part time undergraduate students major in one of 31 programs offered in five division areas: The Humanities; Business Administration; Social Sciences; Natural Sciences & Mathematics; and Teacher Education. The College offers a full scholarship Honors Program which provides students with a Summer Study experience at Oxford University in England. In addition,there are strategic alliances designed to offer expanded opportunities for students. For example,students can major in mathematics at St. Thomas for three years and then enter an engineering program at either George Washington University or Manhattan College as part of a dual degree program. St. Thomas offers study abroad opportunities in Ireland,Italy,Hungary,Nova Scotia,Brazil and Japan. There are a number of strategic alliances with other neighboring institutions,such as a dual degree program with New York Medical College. St. Thomas students study toward a bachelor's degree in biology and then enter a doctoral program in physical therapy at NYMC. These and other strategic alliances open doors in law,podiatric medicine,chiropractic medicine,pharmacuetical medicine and a range of other programs for our students at other colleges and universities.
